About Shenzhen

Shenzhen is located in the southern part of Guangdong Province and on the eastern shore of the Pearl River Delta, with over  10 million people. Neighboring Hong Kong and Macau, Shenzhen's location gives it a geographical advantage for economic development. In 1980, the first Special Economic Zone of China was established in Shenzhen. In the 1980s, Shenzhen grew seemingly overnight from a humble fishing village to a metropolis, and remains as the primary symbol of the reform and opening policy of China. Today, the city has become a highlight of China for its rapid economic growth.
